Bali tour packages from India

Our Bali tour packages from India cover every side of the Island of the Gods: the rice terraces, temples and jungle swings of Ubud, the sunset beaches of Kuta and Seminyak, the calm resorts of Nusa Dua, the dramatic cliffs of Nusa Penida and the car-free Gili Islands. Choose from more than 40 Bali packages of 4 to 10 nights, each combining two or three areas so you see the island without spending hours in traffic every day.

Every package includes hotels with daily breakfast, private airport and inter-hotel transfers, and the sightseeing Indian travellers love most: water sports at Tanjung Benoa, the Kintamani volcano viewpoint and Ubud's craft villages, and sunset at the sea temple of Tanah Lot and the clifftop Uluwatu temple. Most trips also include a full day on Nusa Penida for Kelingking Beach, and many add one or two nights on the Gili Islands.

Our packages are land-only, so you can fly from Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad or any Indian city and meet our driver at Bali's Ngurah Rai airport. We quote Bali packages with flights on request, explain the Visa on Arrival and arrival card, and can upgrade any trip to a private pool villa, so your whole Bali trip from India is handled by one team.

Why visit Bali

Bali is one of the most popular international holidays for Indian travellers, and it is easy to see why. In a single Bali tour you can watch the sun rise over a volcano, swim under a jungle waterfall, walk through emerald rice terraces and end the day with a candlelit dinner on the beach.

  • Feels familiar: around 87 percent of Balinese are Hindu, so temple offerings, Ramayana dance performances and festivals such as Galungan feel close to home for many Indian visitors.
  • Direct flights: Air India and IndiGo fly non-stop from Delhi, and IndiGo from Bengaluru (and seasonally Mumbai), in roughly 6 to 7.5 hours.
  • Easy entry: Indian passport holders get a Visa on Arrival or apply online for an e-VOA before travel.
  • Good value: beautiful resorts and private pool villas cost far less than in the Maldives or Europe, and food, spa treatments and activities are affordable.
  • Something for everyone: honeymoon villas and floating breakfasts for couples, water sports and theme parks for families, beach clubs and nightlife for friends, and temples and nature for everyone.

Top places to visit in Bali

Ubud and central Bali

The Tegallalang rice terraces, the Sacred Monkey Forest, the Bali Swing, Tegenungan waterfall, the holy springs of Tirta Empul and the art market of Ubud. See our Ubud guide.

Kintamani and Mount Batur

The viewpoint over the active Mount Batur volcano and its crater lake, included on almost every package, and the popular sunrise trek to the summit. Read our Mount Batur and Kintamani guide.

Sea temples: Tanah Lot and Uluwatu

Tanah Lot stands on a rock in the ocean, while Uluwatu sits on a 70-metre cliff above the Indian Ocean, where the Kecak fire dance is performed at sunset. See our guide to Bali's temples.

Nusa Penida

A speedboat ride from Bali, this rugged island has the T-Rex-shaped cliff of Kelingking Beach, Angel's Billabong, Broken Beach and Crystal Bay. Read our Nusa Penida guide.

Beaches and water sports

Sunsets in Kuta and Seminyak, calm water in Nusa Dua and Sanur, and parasailing, jet skiing and sea walking at Tanjung Benoa. See our Bali water sports guide.

The Gili Islands and beyond

Car-free coral islands with turtles, plus the Gates of Heaven at Lempuyang temple, Ulun Danu Bratan on its mountain lake and the waterfalls of north Bali. For the full list, read places to visit in Bali.

Shopping in Bali

Bali is a relaxed and rewarding place to shop. Ubud Art Market and the craft villages of Celuk (silver), Mas (wood carving) and Batubulan (stone carving) are best for handicrafts, and the Kintamani tour usually stops at batik and silver workshops. Seminyak has designer boutiques and homeware stores, while Kuta has Beachwalk Shopping Centre, Discovery Mall and endless street stalls for beachwear and souvenirs.

Popular things to take home include Balinese coffee (including kopi luwak), sarongs and batik, silver jewellery, wooden carvings, rattan bags, aromatherapy oils and spa products. Bargaining is normal at markets and street stalls, but not in malls or fixed-price shops.

Bali nightlife

Bali's nightlife ranges from sunset cocktails to dancing until dawn. Seminyak and Canggu are famous for beach clubs, where you can spend the afternoon by the pool and stay for the sunset and DJ sets. Kuta and Legian have lively bars and clubs, while Jimbaran is known for seafood dinners on the sand at sunset.

For a quieter evening, watch a Legong or Kecak dance performance in Ubud or at Uluwatu, take a sunset dinner cruise, or enjoy a romantic dinner at a clifftop restaurant. Many Indian restaurants in Kuta, Seminyak and Nusa Dua stay open late.

Bali family tour packages

Bali is a wonderful family destination, with friendly people, calm beaches, spacious resorts with kids' clubs, and plenty of activities. Our Bali family tour packages keep travel times short and include the attractions children love most.

  • Water sports at Tanjung Benoa: banana boat rides (included), glass-bottom boats, sea walking and parasailing.
  • Trans Studio Bali: an indoor theme park with rides and shows, perfect for hot or rainy afternoons.
  • Bali Safari and Marine Park, Bali Zoo and Waterbom Bali: safari rides, animal encounters and one of Asia's best water parks.
  • Ubud Monkey Forest and the Bali Swing: unforgettable for older children and teens.
  • Nusa Dua and Sanur beaches: calm, shallow water for younger children.

We can arrange family rooms, connecting rooms or villas, and a slower pace for grandparents.

Bali honeymoon packages

Bali is India's favourite honeymoon destination in Asia. Couples come for private pool villas in Ubud and Seminyak, floating breakfasts, flower baths, candlelight dinners on the beach and sunset at Uluwatu temple.

A classic Bali honeymoon package splits the stay between the jungle and rice fields of Ubud and a beach area such as Seminyak or Nusa Dua, with a day on Nusa Penida or a night on the Gili Islands for something special. We can upgrade any package to a private pool villa and add romantic extras such as a couple's spa, a sunset dinner cruise or a photoshoot at the Bali Swing.

Bali travel tips for Indians

  • Money: the currency is the Indonesian rupiah (IDR). Cards work in hotels, malls and most restaurants; carry cash for markets, small cafés and temple donations. Use authorised money changers and count your notes.
  • Tourist levy: foreign visitors pay a one-time Bali tourist levy of IDR 150,000 per person, online before arrival or at the airport.
  • Arrival card: fill in the free All Indonesia arrival card online within 3 days before your flight lands.
  • Getting around: traffic can be slow, so plan your stays by area; our packages include private transfers and drivers. Ride-hailing apps such as Grab and Gojek work in most areas.
  • Power and time: Indonesia uses European-style two-pin plugs (230V), and Bali is 2.5 hours ahead of India.
  • Temples: cover shoulders and knees; sarongs are provided or rented at most temples.
  • Nyepi: on Bali's Day of Silence, usually in March, the whole island, including the airport, closes for 24 hours; plan around it.

Bali visa for Indians

Indian passport holders need a visa for Indonesia, but getting one is easy. You can buy a Visa on Arrival (VOA) at Bali airport or apply online for an e-VOA before travel. Both currently cost IDR 500,000 per person and allow a stay of up to 30 days, which can be extended once for another 30 days.

  • A passport valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date
  • A confirmed return or onward ticket
  • Your hotel booking and enough funds for your stay
  • The free All Indonesia arrival card, submitted online within 3 days before arrival
  • The Bali tourist levy of IDR 150,000 per person

Indonesia has announced plans to raise visa-on-arrival fees, so we confirm the current rules and fees for your dates when you book. Read our detailed Bali visa guide for Indians and our guide to the All Indonesia arrival card and Bali tourist levy.

Important notes

  • Visa and entry rules can change; we recheck them before you book and again before travel.
  • Boat trips to Nusa Penida and the Gili Islands run subject to sea and weather conditions and may be rescheduled.
  • Water sports, swings and similar activities are run by local operators and depend on weather and safety conditions.
  • Some beaches have strong waves and currents; swim only where it is safe and follow local flags.
  • Hotels may collect a refundable deposit at check-in. The Bali tourist levy is paid separately.
  • Prices depend on travel dates, hotel category and availability, and are confirmed at the time of booking.

Compare our Bali packages by duration

All our Bali packages include hotels with daily breakfast, private airport and inter-hotel transfers and the main sightseeing with an English-speaking driver or guide. Short trips of 4 nights focus on one beach area and Ubud or a second beach; 6 to 8 nights add Nusa Penida and often the Gili Islands; 9 and 10-night holidays add free days to relax.

Bali tour packages from Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and other cities

Our Bali packages start and end at Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS), so you can join from anywhere in India.

  • Bali package from Bangalore: IndiGo flies non-stop in around 6 hours.
  • Bali package from Mumbai: IndiGo operates seasonal non-stop flights; otherwise connect via Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok or Delhi.
  • From Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and other cities: usually one stop via Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok or an Indian hub.

Schedules change by season, so tell us your city and dates and we will quote the best Bali package with flights. Read more in our guide to flights from India to Bali.

How much does a Bali trip cost?

The cost of a Bali trip from India depends on four things: your travel dates, the hotel or villa category, the number of nights and paid activities, and your flights. A 4-night package with standard hotels is the most affordable; a 7 to 10-night holiday with Nusa Penida, the Gili Islands and private pool villas costs more. July, August, Diwali, Christmas and New Year are the most expensive periods, while April to June and September to October offer good weather at lower prices.

Our quotes show exactly what is included, with transfers and the main sightseeing already in the Bali tour package price. For a full breakdown, read our Bali trip cost from India guide. Send us your dates for a free quote.

Add Singapore to your Bali holiday

Singapore is about 2.5 hours from Bali by air, and many Indian travellers combine the two. We can add 2 or 3 nights in Singapore, with Sentosa, Universal Studios and Gardens by the Bay, before or after your Bali package. See our Singapore tour packages.
