The short answer

A realistic Andaman trip cost for a first visit is about ₹60,000 to ₹80,000 per person once you add return flights, a land package, meals and a couple of water activities. For a couple that is roughly ₹1.2 to ₹1.6 lakh for 5 nights, and for a family of four on 6 nights it is roughly ₹2.4 to ₹3.3 lakh.

The number looks high next to the package price you see online, because the package is only one part of it. A typical Andaman and Nicobar trip cost has five pieces: the land package (hotels, breakfast, transfers, sightseeing and inter-island ferries), the flights, the meals the package does not cover, water activities, and a small buffer for things like scooters and tips. The flights are often the biggest swing.

This guide breaks each piece down in rupees, shows how the travel cost to Andaman changes with trip length and season, and gives three worked budgets: a couple, a family of four and a solo traveller. All figures were checked in October 2026; the last section lists where each one comes from.

Andaman package price by trip length

These are our starting prices per adult, on double sharing, before 5% GST. They are "from" prices for the standard hotel category and a travel date outside the busiest weeks, so your own quote can be higher. Flights are not included.

DurationItineraryFrom price per adult
4N/5DAndaman 4 nights 5 days packageFrom ₹18,125 per adult · double sharing · GST extra
5N/6DAndaman Island Escape with Ross Island & North Bay – 5 Nights / 6 DaysFrom ₹20,000 per adult · double sharing · GST extra
6N/7DAndaman 6 Nights 7 Days PackageFrom ₹22,500 per adult · double sharing · GST extra
7N/8D7 Nights 8 Days Andaman Package: Port Blair, Havelock, Neil & BaratangFrom ₹28,750 per adult · double sharing · GST extra

Land package prices per adult for two adults sharing one room. GST extra; flights and optional extras are excluded unless the itinerary says otherwise. Check your selected dates for the final amount.

So the Andaman tour package price for a 5 night 6 day trip works out to about ₹42,000 for two people on double sharing, and the 6 nights 7 days Andaman package price is about ₹47,250 for two. If you are searching for Andaman packages with flight price, add the airfare from the section below, because a land package and a flight package are priced very differently depending on your departure city and dates. For ideas on how each length is laid out day by day, see the guide to Andaman packages.

What the package includes, and what it leaves out

Most of the confusion about how much an Andaman trip costs comes from not knowing what the package price actually covers. On our standard packages:

Included

  1. Hotel nights in the category you select
  2. Daily breakfast from Day 2
  3. Airport pickup and drop
  4. A private AC vehicle for the scheduled sightseeing
  5. Government-operated inter-island ferries in the booked base class
  6. The scheduled visits in the itinerary

Not included

  1. Flights to and from Port Blair
  2. Lunch, dinner and breakfast on arrival day
  3. Water activities such as scuba, sea walk, snorkelling and glass-bottom boat rides
  4. Gala dinner supplements on 24 and 31 December, and any peak-season room supplement
  5. Personal expenses, shopping, tips and laundry
  6. Using the vehicle for your own outings outside the itinerary
  7. Medical costs and costs caused by disruption, such as weather

Cancellation is charged at 25% of the package cost if you cancel 30 or more days before departure, 50% at 15 to 29 days, and 100% inside 15 days, so it is worth deciding on dates before you pay for flights.

Flights to Andaman: the biggest swing in your budget

Every trip starts at Veer Savarkar Airport in Port Blair, and there is no road or rail route, so flights decide a large part of the travel cost to Andaman. Fares move a lot by date, so treat the figures below as a guide and check live prices before you lock in.

For Andaman trip cost from Delhi, here is what fare trackers showed in early October 2026 for the Delhi to Port Blair route (non-stop flights take about 3 hours 35 minutes):

Delhi to Port Blair, one way

Cheapest month shown (December 2026)

from about ₹10,900

Typical non-stop economy fare

about ₹24,000

Usual range

₹12,000 to ₹44,700

In practice, a return ticket is about ₹24,000 per person if you book early and stay flexible, and ₹40,000 or more for short-notice or peak-week travel. That is the range we use in the budgets below.

A few things that help:

  1. Book one to two months ahead. The tracker we used shows fares booked that far out averaging roughly ₹3,500 below the typical fare.
  2. Cities matter. The Andaman trip cost from Kolkata, from Chennai and from Bangalore depends on your departure city and whether a non-stop flight runs on your dates. The Delhi figures above are only one example, so ask for a quote from your own city. We have city pages for Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Pune and Hyderabad.
  3. Allow for baggage. Low fares often leave out checked baggage, and the extra is easy to forget when you compare the Andaman trip cost from India across cities.
  4. Match flights to ferry days. A late arrival can push your first ferry to the next morning and add a hotel night.

Costs people forget: activities, scooters and shows

This is where an Andaman trip budget quietly grows. Water activities are not part of a standard package, and most are priced per person. The figures below come from an Andaman activity operator's price list and are indicative. The list carries no year and rates change, so confirm before you book.

Most couples pick two or three of these, which adds ₹7,000 to ₹15,000 per person.

Getting around on your own. The package vehicle covers the scheduled sightseeing, not your own evenings. A scooter on rent runs about ₹600 to ₹700 for 24 hours, which is why bike rental in Port Blair, Havelock and Neil is so popular with couples. Hiring a cab in Port Blair for a free evening is the other option, and agreeing the fare with the driver before you set off avoids surprises. If you want to add a day trip such as Baratang, the Port Blair to Baratang taxi fare is a per-vehicle charge that is cheaper when split across a group, so ask us for the current rate.

Cellular Jail. Entry is only ₹30 for Indian visitors, and the evening Sound and Light Show is ₹300 for adults and ₹150 for children aged 5 to 11. Our 5N6D page says these tickets are covered, but the inclusions list does not name them, so confirm when you book rather than assuming.

Meals. Breakfast is covered, lunch and dinner are not. As a planning figure, allow about ₹1,000 per person per day for ordinary restaurant meals, more on Havelock beachfront. This is our planning allowance, not a published rate.

Gala dinners and peak supplements. Gala dinner supplements apply on 24 and 31 December, and peak-season room supplements can apply too, so late December is the costliest time to travel.

The Andaman solo trip cost is not simply half of a couple's budget, because hotel rates are built on double sharing. The table is for a shorter 4 night trip and leaves out the single-occupancy supplement, so request a quote for exactly one traveller. For a 5 day Andaman trip cost on a comparable plan, the 4N5D numbers above are the right guide, and a 3 day Andaman trip cost will not look much cheaper once the flights are added.

How the season changes the price

The main Andaman season runs from October to May, and November to April is the most popular stretch. Costs follow that curve:

  1. Late December and New Year is the most expensive window. Rooms carry peak supplements, and gala dinners on 24 and 31 December are charged on top of the package.
  2. January to April is busy and dry, so book early. Searches for Andaman packages also peak around February and March, which is when many travellers lock in dates.
  3. May to September is the rainy period. Rain can disrupt ferries and water sports, so fewer people go. You accept weather risk, and ferries or activities may be cancelled.
  4. October and November open the season. The fare tracker we used listed October, November and December 2026 as the cheapest months for Delhi flights, though late December hotels carry the supplements above.

We do not publish a fixed seasonal percentage, because hotel supplements differ by property and date. The honest way to compare is to ask for the same itinerary on two sets of dates. Our guide to the best time to visit Andaman covers the weather month by month.

Ways to do Andaman on a budget

If you want an Andaman trip on a budget, these changes save real money without ruining the trip:

  1. Fix flights first. Flights are the largest and most variable cost. Booking one to two months out and avoiding the week of 24 to 31 December can save more than any hotel downgrade.
  2. Pick the 4 or 5 night plan. The 5 night, 6 day plan covers Port Blair, Havelock and Neil. Longer plans add a second Havelock night or Baratang rather than new islands.
  3. Choose activities, not all activities. A sea walk or snorkel is a highlight, and doing everything adds ₹15,000 or more per person. Pick the two you will remember.
  4. Share the vehicle. Scooter rentals, taxis and the Baratang day trip cost less per person when split across a group or family.
  5. Eat where locals eat. Meals are the easiest line to control. Beachfront cafes on Havelock cost noticeably more than town restaurants in Port Blair.
  6. Travel just outside peak. Early November or late January gives you good weather without the New Year price spike.
  7. Compare like with like. Cheap-looking Andaman tourism packages price often leave out ferries, transfers or sightseeing, so check the inclusions before comparing totals. See places to visit in Andaman if you are deciding what to cut.
