Andaman Nicobar Honeymoon Packages: A Couple's Guide
An Andaman honeymoon is mostly about slowing down. The days are built around a ferry in the morning, a beach in the afternoon and a sunset you watch without checking the time. If that sounds like the trip you want, this guide will help you plan it: when to go, how many days to give it, which islands to stay on, what to do together and what a honeymoon package should actually include.
We plan Andaman and Nicobar honeymoon packages around three islands that work well as a loop: Port Blair (Sri Vijaya Puram), Havelock (Swaraj Dweep) and Neil Island (Shaheed Dweep). You can see how those islands fit into a full holiday on our Andaman Nicobar tour packages page, or read on to plan the romantic side of the trip.
Why Andaman works for a honeymoon
It is quiet. The beaches are long and not crowded the way mainland beach towns can be. Even at Radhanagar, the best-known beach on Havelock, you can walk away from the busiest stretch within a few minutes.
The scenery does the work. Clear water, forest right behind the sand and sunsets over the open sea. You don't need a packed schedule to have a good day.
The islands feel different from one another. Port Blair has history and a little city energy. Havelock has the famous beaches. Neil is smaller and slower. A week gives a couple three distinct moods.
It is easy to keep private. Most days are just the two of you, a driver and a ferry. Dinner is a quiet table, not a crowded buffet.
One honest caveat. Andaman is a boat-and-ferry destination. A little planning matters: ferries depend on weather, activities depend on sea conditions, and some days start early. Couples who accept that tend to love it.
When is the best time for an Andaman honeymoon?
October to May is the season, and November to April is the most popular window. The sea is calmer, ferries run more reliably and water activities are easier to plan. These months suit most couples:
- November to February: pleasant weather and the busiest weeks. If you want a December or New Year honeymoon, book early. Expect gala dinner supplements on 24 and 31 December at some hotels.
- March to April: warmer, with good water for snorkelling. It is a good choice if you want fewer crowds than December.
- May to September: the rainy season. Hotels are quieter, but ferries and boat trips are more likely to be changed or cancelled. It can work if you are flexible, but it is not the safest choice for a fixed-date honeymoon.
If your wedding date decides your travel date, tell us early. We can look at which weeks are likelier to suit the plan. See our month-by-month guide to the best time to visit Andaman Nicobar.
How many days do you need for an Andaman honeymoon?
Four nights is the minimum for the three-island loop. Six or seven nights is more relaxed. Here is how our four fixed itineraries differ for a couple:
| Duration | Itinerary | From price per adult |
|---|---|---|
| 4N/5D | Andaman 4 nights 5 days package | From ₹18,125 per adult · double sharing · GST extra |
| 5N/6D | Andaman Island Escape with Ross Island & North Bay – 5 Nights / 6 Days | From ₹20,000 per adult · double sharing · GST extra |
| 6N/7D | Andaman 6 Nights 7 Days Package | From ₹22,500 per adult · double sharing · GST extra |
| 7N/8D | 7 Nights 8 Days Andaman Package: Port Blair, Havelock, Neil & Baratang | From ₹28,750 per adult · double sharing · GST extra |
Land package prices per adult for two adults sharing one room. GST extra; flights and optional extras are excluded unless the itinerary says otherwise. Check your selected dates for the final amount.
Our suggestion for most couples is 6 nights 7 days. It is the first plan that gives you two nights on Havelock, so you wake up on the beach twice and have one day without a ferry. If you have only five days, the 4N/5D plan is enough for a first visit, but expect ferries on three days in a row. The 7N/8D plan adds a Baratang day that starts around 2:30 to 3:00 a.m., which suits adventurous couples more than those who want to rest. Make sure to ask for honeymoon extras that can be arranged at extra cost.
Prices are per person for the land package, as shown on each page today, and depend on dates, availability and hotel category.
The best honeymoon places in Andaman Nicobar, island by island
Port Blair (Sri Vijaya Puram): start with history, end with a pause. Most trips begin and end here. The Cellular Jail and its evening Light and Sound Show are the thing to see, though it is a serious place rather than a romantic one. Corbyn's Cove is an easy first beach. On longer plans, a boat day to North Bay and Ross Island (British-era ruins wrapped in tree roots) breaks up the beach days. The jail entrance is about a 200-metre walk from the parking area.
Havelock (Swaraj Dweep): the beaches. This is where the honeymoon happens. Kalapathar Beach has dark rocks, trees and blue water. Radhanagar Beach is the long, pale stretch most couples come for, and sunset there is the moment people remember. Elephant Beach is a short boat ride away and is the usual stop for snorkelling. Water activities depend on sea conditions and cost extra. Give Havelock two nights if you can.
Neil Island (Shaheed Dweep): the slow island. Smaller and quieter. Bharatpur Beach is good for time by the water, Laxmanpur Beach is the place for sunset, and the Natural Coral Bridge is a short walk when the tide allows. One night is enough to enjoy it, and it is a good last stop before heading back to Port Blair.
Baratang (optional, long days only). Mangrove waterways and the Limestone Caves. It is a long day with a very early start through a protected reserve, so it suits couples who want adventure rather than rest.
Romantic things to do in Andaman as a couple
- Watch sunset at Radhanagar or Laxmanpur. Plan this for the afternoon and don't schedule anything after it.
- Spend a morning at Elephant Beach. Snorkel if the water is right, or simply sit on the sand. Introductory snorkelling from the boat operator may be offered, but it is not guaranteed.
- Try a beginner water activity together. Snorkelling, a glass-bottom boat ride or, if you are certified or willing to do an introductory dive, scuba. All are optional and charged separately.
- Book a candlelight dinner. We can arrange this!
- Leave one evening unplanned. Our itineraries include a free evening in Port Blair for a reason: a walk, a quiet meal and a rest before the flight home.
What should an Andaman honeymoon package include?
A good package makes the logistics invisible, so you can enjoy the trip. Check these, whoever you book with:
- Airport pickup and drop-off, and a representative to meet you on each island.
- Hotels in a stated category on each island, with the nights split clearly (for example, Port Blair 3, Havelock 2, Neil 1).
- Inter-island ferry tickets, and a clear note on what happens if a ferry is cancelled.
- Private air-conditioned transfers and the sightseeing in the itinerary.
- Daily breakfast. Lunches and dinners are usually extra, so keep some budget for them.
- A written list of what is not included: flights, water activities, gala dinner supplements and personal expenses.
Our four fixed itineraries include all of the above except flights. They are standard packages, so there is no customisation within them. We can arrange honeymoon extras, such as a room decoration, a cake or a candlelight dinner. If you want a different route or hotel mix, our Plan My Trip service builds a custom plan.
How much does an Andaman honeymoon cost for a couple?
See the live package comparison above for current double-sharing prices. GST is extra.
These are starting prices. The final price depends on your dates, availability, hotel category and room arrangement, and your quotation shows it before you pay. Peak-season supplements and gala dinner charges on 24 and 31 December may apply.
Flights are not included. If you are searching for an Andaman honeymoon package with flights, the airfare is a separate cost that depends on your city and dates. We can quote flights separately, and from all cities in India with an airport. Budget separately for lunches and dinners, optional water activities (snorkelling, scuba, glass-bottom boat rides) and any romantic extras you add.

Practical tips before you go
- Carry photo ID. Every traveller needs valid government-issued photo ID for flights, hotels and ferries. Indian citizens don't need a visa for Andaman.
- Don't put a ferry and a flight on the same day. Sea conditions can change schedules, so leave a buffer before your flight home.
- Pack light. You will be moving between islands. Bring sun protection, a swimsuit, a change of clothes for the beach and a light layer for the ferry and for evenings.
- Bring cash and download what you need. Mobile networks and ATMs can be limited on the smaller islands.
- Expect an early start on ferry days. A hotel may provide a packed breakfast if your ferry leaves early.
- Be flexible on activities. If the sea is rough, water activities and boat trips may be moved or cancelled. A good plan has a spare slot.
- Tell us about the wedding date and any special request in advance. Room decoration, cake and dinner arrangements are easier to organise early.
Is a fixed honeymoon package right for you?
It suits you if you want the trip organised for you, with hotels, ferries and transfers confirmed in writing, and you are happy with a planned route through Port Blair, Havelock and Neil.
It may not suit you if you want a very specific hotel or a route that does not follow the Port Blair, Havelock and Neil loop, if you want flights included in one price, or if you want a fully private, resort-only honeymoon with no sightseeing. In those cases, ask about a custom plan through Plan My Trip.
