Andaman Tour Packages from Pune

The land package is the same from every city, because it starts at Port Blair airport. What changes from Pune is the flight you add. These are starting prices per adult on double sharing.

These are "from" prices for the standard hotel category and a date outside the busiest weeks. Higher hotel categories (up to 4 Star Royal), peak dates and children's charges change the quote. Lunch, dinner, water activities and gala dinner supplements are not included. If you want an Andaman package from Pune with flight, ask for flights to be quoted along with the package on the enquiry form.

The Andaman trip cost from Pune is the package plus a connecting flight, meals, activities and a small buffer. The low column assumes early flights, two activities each and modest meals. The high column assumes late flights, more activities and more eating out. Meals and extras are our planning allowances.

A connecting journey eats part of your first and last day, so very short trips lose the most. All four plans use the same Port Blair, Havelock and Neil loop with three ferry crossings.

Our view for Pune travellers: 5 nights as a minimum for a first visit, and 6 nights if you want Elephant Beach and a day without a ferry. The sixth night costs about ₹2,500 more per adult (₹22,500 vs ₹20,000 before GST), which is small against the cost of getting there. The Andaman season runs October to May, with November to April the most popular stretch. Port Blair's long-term rainfall is about 14 mm in February and under 50 mm in January and March, against 448 to 505 mm a month from June to September, when rain can disrupt ferries and water sports.

For Pune travellers, the fare pattern adds a second consideration:

• October and November: early season. The fare tracker listed October as the cheapest month, from about ₹10,700 one way, and November from about ₹12,300.
• January to March: dry weather, with fares from about ₹13,400 to ₹14,600 one way, a modest step up.
• December: dry, with fares from about ₹15,000 and hotel supplements. Gala dinner supplements apply on 24 and 31 December, and peak-season room supplements can apply.
• April and May: fares from about ₹21,600 one way on the same tracker, and May brings the first heavy rain.
• June to September: monsoon. The tracker warns of disruption from mid-May to October, so keep plans flexible.

For most Pune travellers, November and late January to early March give the best balance of weather and fares. Our best time to visit Andaman guide has the month-by-month rainfall.

• Fix flights first, then the package. Package nights start on arrival, so quote both together and match the dates.
• Leave room in the connection. Do not book the tightest possible layover. A missed connection can cost you a night and a ferry.
• Prefer one booking. If you buy the whole itinerary on one ticket, the airline is responsible for the connection. Separate tickets are your risk.
• Check the arrival time. With a late arrival, day one in Port Blair shrinks, and we may move Cellular Jail and the evening show to the following day.
• Photo ID. Carry a government-issued photo ID for every traveller. It is needed for ferries.
• Return day. Leave a buffer, because weather can delay ferries and boats, and do not tie your flight home to a ferry morning.
• Baggage. Low fares often leave out checked baggage, so check the allowance on each leg.
• Pack for humidity. Light clothing, swimwear, a spare set for Radhanagar and water for quiet beaches.

Passenger ships run to Port Blair from Chennai, Kolkata and Visakhapatnam. None of the three is near Pune, so you would first travel to one of them.

• Voyage: guides quote 50 to 70 hours, roughly 2.5 to 3 days each way, depending on port and weather.
• Frequency: a few sailings a month per port, so the ship fixes your dates.
• Fares: one-way fares from ₹2,290 (Bunk) to ₹10,240 (Deluxe), from a February 2025 guide. Confirm the current tariff.
• Ship type: a government passenger ship, not a leisure liner.

From Pune, a ship adds a long trip to the port, then a long voyage, so most travellers fly. It only makes sense if you have around two weeks, enjoy sea travel and can match the sailing calendar. Ask us if you want a land package fitted around a sailing date.

This follows our 5 nights / 6 days island escape: three nights in Port Blair, one in Havelock, one in Neil.

• Day 1, Port Blair. Your connecting flight lands, you are met at the airport and taken to the hotel. If you arrive early enough, the plan is Corbyn's Cove beach, Cellular Jail and the evening Light and Sound Show.
• Day 2, North Bay and Ross Island. Boat excursions from Port Blair.
• Day 3, Havelock. Government ferry across, then Kalapathar and Radhanagar beach.
• Day 4, Neil. Ferry to Neil, with Bharatpur, the Natural Coral Bridge and Laxmanpur.
• Day 5, back to Port Blair. Ferry back and a free evening.
• Day 6, departure. Drop at the airport for your flight home via Delhi, Bengaluru or Chennai.

If your Pune connection lands late: the Cellular Jail visit and the evening show may not fit on Day 1. Tell us your flight times when you enquire, and we will say how the first day can be rearranged. For the return, keep a buffer between the Port Blair departure and any onward connection, because you are changing planes.

• 25% of the cost at 30 or more days before travel
• 50% at 15 to 29 days
• 100% under 15 days

Standard bookings can be secured with a 10% deposit if travel is 30 or more days away. Otherwise full payment is due. Airline tickets follow the airline's own rules, so check them before you pay.
