What Makes a Kerala Honeymoon Special
A private houseboat on the backwaters
The highlight of most Kerala honeymoons is a night on a private houseboat in Alleppey. You have the boat and its crew to yourselves: a bedroom with an attached bathroom, an open deck, and Kerala meals cooked on board as you glide past paddy fields and palm-fringed villages. Munnar honeymoon: tea hills and cool air
Munnar is Kerala's most romantic hill station, with tea estates rolling over the hills, waterfalls beside the road and cool evenings that call for a fire. Choose a resort with a private balcony over the valley, and spend a slow day at Eravikulam National Park, Mattupetty and the viewpoints. Beach days in Kovalam or Varkala

Kochi is well connected to Delhi, with direct flights taking about three and a half hours. All our Kerala honeymoon packages start and end in Kochi (or Trivandrum for trips that finish on the beach), so you can fly in from Delhi, Gurugram, Mumbai or anywhere else in India. We can book your flights from Delhi along with the package, or you can book them yourself and we'll plan the trip around your times. Morning flights from Delhi work best, so you reach Kochi in time to start sightseeing or board a houseboat the same day.
Best Time for a Kerala Honeymoon
November to February is the best time for a Kerala honeymoon, with pleasant days on the backwaters, cool evenings in Munnar and calm seas at the beach. December and January are the busiest months, so book early for the best rooms and houseboats. How Many Days for a Kerala Honeymoon?
Five to seven days is ideal. Five days covers Munnar and a houseboat without rushing; seven days adds Thekkady or a resort night and gives you time to relax. With eight or nine days, finish with two nights on the beach. If you only have a long weekend, our 4-day houseboat and Munnar trip still gives you the highlights.
