Georgia tour packages from India
Our Georgia tour packages from India are planned around you rather than sold off a shelf. Georgia packs a lot into a small country: the cobbled lanes and sulphur baths of Tbilisi, the snow peaks around Kazbegi and Gudauri, the vineyards and walled hill towns of Kakheti, and the Black Sea promenade of Batumi. Distances are short, so a 5 to 7 night trip covers the highlights comfortably.
We design each Georgia trip for your dates, group and pace, with hotels, a private car and driver, airport transfers, sightseeing and visa guidance. Families, couples, honeymooners and senior travellers all travel differently, so we build the plan around who is travelling. Tell us when you want to go and what you would like to see, and we will send you a day-wise plan and price. Get a free Georgia quote.
Why visit Georgia
Georgia has become one of the most popular new destinations for Indian travellers, and it is easy to see why. It feels European, with mountain scenery and old churches, yet it is closer and usually better value than Western Europe.
- Short flight: nonstop flights from Delhi and Mumbai have taken around 5 hours when operating, and one-stop routes via Dubai, Sharjah, Doha or Istanbul run all year. See flights from India to Georgia.
- Simple visa: an online e-visa for most Indians, or no visa at all if you hold a valid US, UK or Schengen visa. Read our Georgia visa guide for Indians.
- Snow without the long haul: Gudauri and Kazbegi have reliable snow from December to March, a favourite with Indian families and honeymooners.
- Good value: hotels, food and private drivers cost less than in most of Europe. See our Georgia trip cost from India breakdown.
- Something for everyone: history and food in Tbilisi, mountain drives and hikes, wine country, and a beach city on the Black Sea.
Top places to visit in Georgia
Tbilisi Old Town
Ride the cable car up to Narikala Fortress for views over the city, soak in the domed sulphur baths of Abanotubani, cross the glass Bridge of Peace and walk Rustaveli Avenue. Our Tbilisi guide covers what to see and where to eat.
Mtskheta
Georgia's ancient capital, 30 minutes from Tbilisi, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Jvari Monastery looks down on the meeting of two rivers, and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral is one of the country's holiest churches.
Ananuri, Gudauri and the Georgian Military Road
The road north from Tbilisi passes Ananuri Fortress on the turquoise Zhinvali reservoir, then climbs to Gudauri, a ski resort at about 2,200 metres with paragliding in summer and the colourful Friendship Monument viewpoint.
Kazbegi (Stepantsminda)
The postcard view of Georgia: Gergeti Trinity Church on a ridge below 5,054-metre Mount Kazbek. Short hikes lead to Gveleti waterfall and the Truso valley. Read our Kazbegi and Gudauri guide.
Kakheti wine country
Vineyards, monasteries and Sighnaghi, a walled hill town known as the city of love, with views across the Alazani valley to the Caucasus. Wine tastings at family wineries are a highlight, and juice and soft-drink options are always available.
Batumi
Georgia's Black Sea city has a long seaside boulevard, the moving Ali and Nino statue, a huge botanical garden and lively evenings. See our Batumi guide.

Shopping in Georgia
In Tbilisi, the Dry Bridge market sells Soviet-era souvenirs, old cameras, paintings and jewellery, while Rustaveli Avenue and the malls (Galleria Tbilisi, East Point, Tbilisi Mall) have international brands. Look for Georgian wine, churchkhela (a grape-and-walnut sweet), spices like svanetian salt, enamel jewellery (minankari), felt crafts and hand-painted ceramics.
Wine and churchkhela make the most popular gifts. Pack bottles carefully and check your airline's baggage rules and Indian customs allowances before buying in quantity.
Tbilisi and Batumi by night
Tbilisi has a relaxed, late-evening culture. Walk the lit-up Old Town and the Bridge of Peace, take the cable car to Narikala for night views, or ride the funicular to Mtatsminda Park. Fabrika, a converted Soviet sewing factory, is a lively courtyard of cafés and bars. Traditional supra dinners with polyphonic singing and folk dance shows are a memorable evening for families.
In Batumi, evenings centre on the seafront boulevard, the dancing fountains and the light shows along the promenade.
Georgia family holidays
Georgia works well for families: short drives, safe cities, friendly people and plenty of open space.
- Snow play in Gudauri: sledging, snowmobiles and beginner ski lessons from December to March.
- Cable cars and funiculars: the Narikala cable car and Mtatsminda Park, with rides and city views.
- Caves and canyons: Prometheus Cave and Martvili Canyon near Kutaisi make an exciting day out.
- Batumi in summer: beaches, the botanical garden and the seafront boulevard for cycling.
We keep driving days short for children and seniors, choose hotels with family rooms, and plan vegetarian-friendly meals. Read our Georgia travel tips for Indians.
Georgia honeymoon trips
Georgia is a rising favourite for Indian honeymoons: snow-capped mountains, cosy hotels with valley views, Sighnaghi's romantic old streets and candle-lit dinners in Tbilisi. In winter, Gudauri and Kazbegi offer snow; in spring and autumn, the countryside is green or golden.
A typical honeymoon plan is two nights in Tbilisi, two in Kazbegi or Gudauri and one in Sighnaghi, with room upgrades and private transfers. Read our Georgia honeymoon guide for ideas.
Georgia travel tips for Indians
- Money: the currency is the Georgian lari (GEL); 1 GEL is roughly ₹37. Cards work in cities; carry cash for villages and markets. Exchange booths in Tbilisi usually beat airport rates.
- Insurance is compulsory: since 1 January 2026 all tourists must hold travel health insurance covering their whole stay, with at least 30,000 GEL of cover.
- Getting around: Bolt works in Tbilisi and Batumi. For touring, a private car with driver is the easiest option.
- Food: try khachapuri, khinkali and badrijani. Vegetarians eat well; Jain meals need planning, and Tbilisi has several Indian restaurants.
- Time and power: Georgia is 1 hour 30 minutes behind India. Plugs are European two-pin (Type C/F), 220V.
- Mountain roads: the road to Kazbegi can close briefly after heavy snow, so keep a buffer day in winter.

Georgia visa for Indians
Most Indian passport holders need a Georgia e-visa, applied for online on the official portal (evisa.gov.ge). It costs about USD 35 including the identity verification step, usually takes at least 5 working days, and allows stays of up to 30 days. Apply 2 to 3 weeks ahead in the June to August peak.
If you hold a valid US, UK or Schengen visa (or a residence permit, or visas from certain other countries), you can enter Georgia without a visa for up to 90 days in any 180 days, as long as that visa is valid on the day you arrive.
Full details, documents and step-by-step help are in our Georgia visa guide for Indians. Visa rules change, so we recheck them for you before you book.
Important notes
- Visa and entry rules can change; entry is always at the discretion of Georgian border officials. We recheck the rules before you book and before you travel.
- Carry proof of travel health insurance (minimum 30,000 GEL cover) for your whole stay; it can be asked for at entry.
- Mountain roads, cable cars and ski lifts can close for weather. In winter we keep a flexible day and offer alternatives if a sight is closed.
- Churches expect modest dress: shoulders and knees covered, and women may be asked to cover their heads. Scarves are usually available at the entrance.
- All prices on our guides are indicative and depend on dates, hotels and exchange rates. Packages booked in India attract 5% GST and 2% TCS.

How much does a Georgia trip cost from India?
As a rough guide, a 5 night / 6 day Georgia trip with 4-star hotels, a private car and driver and the main sights costs about ₹45,000 to ₹75,000 per person on land, plus return flights of roughly ₹30,000 to ₹55,000 from Delhi or Mumbai. Peak dates, 5-star hotels and ski equipment cost more; travelling in a group of four or more brings the per-person cost down.
