Malaysia tour packages from India

Our Malaysia tour packages from India bring together the experiences Indian travellers love most about Malaysia: the soaring Petronas Twin Towers and KL Tower in Kuala Lumpur, the rainbow steps and golden Lord Murugan statue at Batu Caves, and the cool hill resort of Genting Highlands, reached by the Awana SkyWay cable car. Choose a 3-night Malaysia holiday package focused on Kuala Lumpur and Genting, or combine Malaysia with Singapore in one trip of 3 to 6 nights.

Every package includes hotel stays, private airport transfers at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), a Kuala Lumpur city tour and a Genting Highlands day with a two-way cable car ticket, so the main sightseeing is booked and paid before you leave home. Families can pick a package with KL Tower Sky Deck tickets or a full day at Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park, and every trip can be extended with extra nights, a hotel upgrade or add-ons such as Sunway Lagoon, Putrajaya or Malacca.

Our packages are land-only, so you can fly from Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Kochi or any Indian city with a Kuala Lumpur connection and meet our driver at the airport. We quote flights on request, help with the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card and travel insurance, and check the latest entry rules for your dates, so your whole Malaysia trip from India is handled by one team.

Why visit Malaysia

Malaysia is one of the easiest and best-value international holidays from India. A single Malaysia tour can take you from a glittering skyline to a 400-million-year-old limestone cave temple and a misty hilltop resort in the same day, and if you have more time, to the beaches of Langkawi or the heritage streets of Penang.

  • No visa needed for now: Indian passport holders can visit for up to 30 days without a visa until 31 December 2026; you only fill in the free online arrival card. See our Malaysia visa guide for Indians.
  • Short flights: about 4 hours from Chennai and Bengaluru and 5 to 6 hours from Delhi and Mumbai, with plenty of low-cost and full-service options.
  • Feels familiar: about 7 percent of Malaysians are of Indian origin, Tamil is widely spoken, Hindu temples are part of daily life and Indian vegetarian food is easy to find, especially in Kuala Lumpur's Brickfields.
  • Good value: hotels, food, transport and attractions usually cost less than in Singapore or Dubai, so your budget goes further.
  • Combines well: Singapore is a short flight or a scenic coach ride away, and our Singapore Malaysia packages cover both countries in one trip.

Top places to visit in Malaysia

Petronas Twin Towers and KLCC

At 452 metres, the Petronas Twin Towers are still the tallest twin towers in the world. Walk the Skybridge on the 41st floor, ride up to the observation deck on level 86, or simply watch the Lake Symphony fountain show in KLCC Park at night. Read more in our Kuala Lumpur guide.

KL Tower

Menara Kuala Lumpur stands on a forested hill, so its open-air Sky Deck at 300 metres and the glass-floored Sky Box give some of the best views in the city.

Batu Caves

A 43-metre golden statue of Lord Murugan guards 272 rainbow-painted steps leading to a vast Hindu temple cave, just 13 km north of the city. It is a photo stop on every Malaysia package we offer.

Genting Highlands

At about 1,800 metres, Genting is cool and often misty. Ride the Awana SkyWay cable car past Chin Swee Temple, spend a day at the Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park, shop at the outlets or simply enjoy the fresh air. See our Genting Highlands guide.

Langkawi

A duty-free island of beaches, rainforest and limestone cliffs, with the SkyCab cable car, the curved SkyBridge, island-hopping trips and mangrove boat tours. It is about an hour's flight from Kuala Lumpur. See our Langkawi guide.

Penang, Malacca and beyond

George Town in Penang and the old port city of Malacca are UNESCO World Heritage cities famous for street art, colonial buildings and food. Putrajaya, Cameron Highlands and the Sunway Lagoon theme park are easy add-ons from Kuala Lumpur. For the full list, read places to visit in Malaysia.

Shopping in Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur is one of Asia's great shopping cities. Bukit Bintang has Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, Lot 10 and Fahrenheit88, while Suria KLCC sits right under the Petronas Towers. For bargains and souvenirs, try Petaling Street in Chinatown and Central Market for batik, pewter and handicrafts; for Indian clothes, jewellery and spices, head to Jalan Masjid India and Brickfields.

Malaysian chocolates, white coffee, Royal Selangor pewter and batik are popular gifts to take home. Genting Highlands has the Genting Highlands Premium Outlets at the cable car base station, and Langkawi is a duty-free island known for good prices on chocolates, perfumes and cookware. Most malls are open from about 10 am to 10 pm, and big sales run around the year-end holidays and Chinese New Year.

Kuala Lumpur by night

Kuala Lumpur comes alive after dark. Watch the Petronas Towers light up from KLCC Park, take a night city tour, or ride up KL Tower for the city lights. Jalan Alor in Bukit Bintang is the city's famous food street, with hawker stalls and open-air restaurants serving satay, noodles, seafood and fresh fruit late into the night, and vegetarian dishes are available at many stalls.

For a quieter evening, try a rooftop restaurant with tower views, the River of Life light show at Masjid Jamek or the colourful lights of i-City in Shah Alam. In Genting Highlands, evenings are cool and the resort has indoor entertainment, restaurants and the casino for guests over 21. In Langkawi, sunset at Pantai Cenang with a beachside dinner is a highlight for couples.

Malaysia family tour packages

Malaysia is a wonderful family destination: short flights, easy food, value-for-money hotels and plenty of child-friendly attractions. Our Malaysia family tour packages are designed so that parents, children and grandparents all enjoy the trip.

  • Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park: themed zones, family rides and thrill rides in the cool hill air; a full-day pass is included in our Malaysia Adventure package.
  • KL Tower Sky Deck and Sky Box: the glass box hanging out over the city is a guaranteed favourite; included in our Kuala Lumpur & Genting Family Escape.
  • Sunway Lagoon: water park, amusement rides and a wildlife park in one, about 30 minutes from the city centre.
  • Aquaria KLCC and KL Bird Park: an underwater tunnel aquarium under the Petronas Towers and a huge walk-in aviary in the Lake Gardens.
  • Legoland Malaysia: in Johor, near Singapore, ideal on a Singapore and Malaysia trip with younger children.

We can arrange connecting or family rooms, child seats on request and a slower pace for senior citizens. Read our guide to Malaysia with kids and theme parks for more ideas.

Malaysia honeymoon packages

For couples, Malaysia offers skyline dinners in Kuala Lumpur, a cool-weather night in Genting Highlands and, best of all, the beaches of Langkawi, with sunset cruises, private island hopping and resorts set between the rainforest and the Andaman Sea.

A popular Malaysia honeymoon package combines two or three nights in Kuala Lumpur with three nights in Langkawi, connected by a one-hour domestic flight. Penang adds heritage streets and food, and Singapore can be added for a two-country honeymoon. Our current packages cover Kuala Lumpur and Genting; for a honeymoon we tailor the trip with Langkawi or Penang, a room upgrade and romantic extras such as a candlelight dinner. Tell us your dates and budget and we will design it for you.

Malaysia travel tips for Indians

  • Money: the currency is the Malaysian ringgit (MYR or RM). Cards are accepted in malls and hotels; carry some cash for markets, street food and small temples. Money changers in city malls usually give better rates than the airport.
  • Tourism tax: foreign visitors pay a tourism tax of RM 10 per room per night, collected by the hotel at check-in or check-out.
  • Getting around: Grab is the main ride-hailing app. The KLIA Ekspres train links the airport with KL Sentral in about 30 minutes; our packages include private airport transfers.
  • Power and time: Malaysia uses UK-style three-pin plugs (230–240V), and the time is 2.5 hours ahead of India.
  • Dress code: cover shoulders and knees at Batu Caves, mosques and temples; robes or sarongs are often provided. Carry a light jacket for Genting.
  • Connectivity: buy a local SIM or eSIM at KLIA arrivals with your passport, or activate international roaming before you leave India.
  • Weather: it is warm and humid all year, with afternoon showers; pack light cotton clothes, sunscreen and a small umbrella.

Malaysia visa for Indians

Indian passport holders can currently visit Malaysia visa-free for up to 30 days for tourism, under an exemption that the Malaysian government has extended until 31 December 2026. There is no fee and no application, but you still need to meet the entry conditions:

  • A passport valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date
  • A confirmed return or onward ticket
  • Your hotel booking or address in Malaysia, and enough funds for your stay
  • The free Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC), submitted online on the official immigration website within 3 days before you arrive

If you plan to stay longer than 30 days, or travel after the exemption ends, you will need an eVISA, applied for online before travel. Rules can change at short notice, so we confirm the requirements for your dates when you book. Read our detailed Malaysia visa guide for Indians and our step-by-step MDAC guide.

Important notes

  • Entry rules can change; we recheck them before you book and again before travel. Entry is always at the discretion of Malaysian immigration.
  • Hotels may collect the RM 10 per room per night tourism tax and a refundable security deposit directly from you.
  • Genting SkyWorlds, the Awana SkyWay and KL Tower can close temporarily for weather or maintenance; we will offer an alternative or the best available option if that happens.
  • The Petronas Towers observation deck is usually closed on Mondays and sells timed tickets that can sell out on weekends.
  • Malaysia is a Muslim-majority country. Tourist areas are relaxed and international, but modest dress is expected at religious sites.
  • Prices depend on travel dates and hotel availability, and are confirmed at the time of booking.

Add Langkawi, Penang or Malacca

Many Indian travellers spend 3 nights in Kuala Lumpur and Genting, then fly to Langkawi for 2 or 3 nights on the beach, or to Penang for heritage and food. Langkawi and Penang are each about an hour's flight from Kuala Lumpur, and the historic city of Malacca is about 2 hours away by road. We can add any of them to our Malaysia packages as tailor-made extensions, with hotels, transfers and sightseeing such as the Langkawi SkyCab and SkyBridge, island hopping, or Penang Hill and George Town.

Plan with our Langkawi guide, Penang guide, day trips from Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia itinerary ideas.

Malaysia tour packages from Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and other cities

Our Malaysia packages start and end at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA or klia2), so you can join from anywhere in India. Direct flights connect Kuala Lumpur with Chennai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Kochi, Tiruchirappalli and other cities, and one-stop connections serve most of the rest, including Ahmedabad, Pune, Coimbatore and Jaipur.

  • Malaysia tour package from Chennai and Bangalore: about 4 hours, usually the most frequent and affordable routes, with several low-cost options.
  • From Kochi, Hyderabad and Kolkata: about 4 to 4.5 hours on direct flights.
  • From Delhi and Mumbai: about 5.5 to 6 hours; overnight flights arriving in the morning give you an extra half-day in Kuala Lumpur.
  • From Ahmedabad, Pune, Coimbatore and other cities: usually one stop via an Indian metro or Singapore.

Tell us your city and dates and we will quote the complete trip, including flights and travel insurance.

How much does a Malaysia trip cost?

The cost of a Malaysia trip from India depends on your travel dates, hotel category and location, the number of paid attractions and your flights. A 3-night Kuala Lumpur and Genting package is one of the most affordable international holidays from India; adding a night in Genting with SkyWorlds, Langkawi or Singapore increases the price. Travelling outside Indian school holidays, Diwali and the year-end peak, and booking 6 to 8 weeks ahead, usually gives the best Malaysia tour package price.

Our quotes show exactly what is included, with transfers and the main entry tickets already in the price. For a detailed breakdown, read our Malaysia trip cost from India guide. Send us your dates for a free quote.

Quick facts

  • Country: Malaysia
  • Recommended: 5 nights
