Our most complete Europe itinerary, timed for the holidays: nine countries in 13 days on a fixed-departure group tour leaving on 22 December 2026.
Begin with three nights in Paris – a guided city tour, the Eiffel Tower top level, Versailles, a Seine cruise, Paris by Night and Disneyland® Paris. Travel through Brussels and Mini-Europe, a Dutch windmill village and Amsterdam, Heidelberg and the Black Forest, then spend three nights in Switzerland with Jungfraujoch, Mt. Titlis, Lucerne and the Lindt Home of Chocolate. Cross Liechtenstein and Austria, welcome the New Year in Venice with a gondola ride, and finish with Florence, Pisa and Rome, including a guided visit to the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel.
A professional tour manager travels with the group throughout, you stay in superior 4-star hotels, and lunches and dinners with Jain, vegetarian and non-vegetarian options are included, along with two gala dinners for Christmas and New Year's Eve and treats in every country.
This Best of Europe tour is our most complete Western Europe tour package: nine countries, including tiny Liechtenstein, with three nights in Paris and three in Switzerland, so you never feel rushed. Compare it with our other Europe tour packages.

Arrive at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport, where you are met and taken to the hotel. The rest of the day is free to settle in. Dinner is included.

A local guide shows you Paris: Place Vendôme, the Opéra Garnier, Musée d'Orsay, Place de la Concorde, the Champs-Élysées, the Arc de Triomphe, Pont Alexandre III and Les Invalides. Go up to the top level of the Eiffel Tower, then tour the Palace of Versailles. Cruise the River Seine past Notre-Dame and the Louvre, and in the evening see the city's landmarks lit up on a Paris by Night tour.
Access to the Eiffel Tower top level depends on its operating status. Days 2 and 3 may be swapped depending on ticket slots.

Spend the whole day at Disneyland® Paris. Choose Disneyland® Park, with its fairy-tale lands, rides, shows and parades with Disney characters, or Walt Disney Studios® Park, with stunt shows and movie-set attractions. A packed lunch is provided.

Drive to Brussels, capital of Belgium and home of the European Union. See the Grand Place, with its medieval Town Hall, and the Manneken Pis statue, then visit Mini-Europe, where more than 350 of Europe's famous monuments are reproduced in miniature. Continue to your hotel in the Netherlands.

Visit a traditional Dutch village near Amsterdam, with working windmills, wooden houses and craft workshops. Then explore Amsterdam on a glass-topped canal cruise past its gabled canal houses and bridges, before driving to your hotel in the Frankfurt area of Germany.

Walk through Heidelberg's Old Town and see the Church of the Holy Spirit. Drive into the Black Forest for a cuckoo clock-making demonstration. Cross into Switzerland to see the Rhine Falls, Europe's most powerful waterfall, and continue to your hotel in Central Switzerland.
The boat ride at the Rhine Falls usually pauses over Christmas and New Year, so on this departure you see the falls from the viewing platforms.

Visit Interlaken, set between two lakes, then head to the Grindelwald Terminal. The Eiger Express gondola takes you to Eigergletscher in about 15 minutes, and a cogwheel train continues to Jungfraujoch, Europe's highest railway station at 3,454 m. Walk through the Ice Palace and see the Aletsch Glacier from the Sphinx observation deck.

Ride a series of cable cars, including the revolving Rotair, to the top of Mt. Titlis at 3,020 m, and walk the Titlis Cliff Walk, Europe's highest suspension bridge. Then see Lucerne's Lion Monument and the wooden Chapel Bridge, and finish with a visit to the Lindt Home of Chocolate.

Drive to Vaduz, capital of the tiny Alpine principality of Liechtenstein, and see it on a guided mini train ride. Continue into Austria to the Swarovski Crystal Worlds at Wattens, then see Innsbruck's Golden Roof and Maria-Theresien-Strasse, framed by the Alps.

Drive to Venice and take a private boat to St. Mark's Square. See St. Mark's Basilica, the Bell Tower, the Clock Tower and the Bridge of Sighs, then glide through the canals on a classic Venetian gondola ride. Continue to your hotel in the Padova / Ferrara area.

With an English-speaking local guide, walk through Florence: the Duomo, the Campanile, the Baptistery with its Gates of Paradise, Piazza della Signoria with the Palazzo Vecchio, and the Ponte Vecchio over the River Arno. Then continue to Pisa to see the Leaning Tower in the Square of Miracles.

Drive to Rome. In Vatican City, take a guided visit to the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel, home of Michelangelo's Last Judgement, and see St. Peter's Basilica. Continue on an orientation tour past the Colosseum, the Roman Forum and the Victor Emmanuel Monument, and toss a coin into the Trevi Fountain.
Shorts and sleeveless tops are not allowed in the Vatican. Entry to the Vatican Museums can involve a queue of about 1½ hours. If tickets are not available, the group visits the Colosseum with entry instead.

After breakfast, check out and transfer to Rome Fiumicino airport for your flight home.
