Drive to Sonamarg: After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive towards Sonamarg, located about 87 km northeast of Srinagar, at an altitude of 3,000 meters above sea level. The journey will take approximately 4 hours, offering stunning views of the mountains, rivers, and lush landscapes along the way.

Explore Sonamarg: Upon arrival in Sonamarg, known as the “Meadow of Gold,” you will be mesmerized by its snow-clad mountains, fast-flowing rivers, and vast meadows. The picturesque surroundings make it a perfect spot for nature lovers and photographers.

Thajiwas Glacier Visit: You can opt for a trek or hire ponies (at direct payment) to reach the Thajiwas Glacier, which remains covered in snow throughout the year. The glacier offers breathtaking views and is an excellent place for adventure and exploration.

Return to Srinagar: After enjoying the beauty of Sonamarg, drive back to Srinagar in the evening.

Drive to Gulmarg: Begin your scenic drive towards Gulmarg, a famous hill station known for its breathtaking views and outdoor activities. The journey takes you through lush landscapes, offering stunning views of valleys and snow-capped mountains.

Gondola Ride (Cable Car): Once in Gulmarg, enjoy the Gondola ride, the highest cable car ride in Asia. The ride has two phases:

• Phase 1: The first phase takes you from the Gulmarg resort at 2,600 meters (8,530 ft) to Kongdoori Station, located in the bowl-shaped Kongdori Valley.
• Phase 2: The second phase takes you from Kongdoori Station to a height of 3,747 meters (12,293 ft) on Kongdori Mountain, offering stunning views of the surrounding snow-capped peaks, including Affarwat Peak (4,200 meters or 13,780 feet).

Enroute Sightseeing: On your way to Pahalgam, you will visit several notable sites:

• Saffron Fields of Pampore: Stop to admire the vibrant saffron fields, a key attraction in the region.
• Awantipura Ruins: Explore the ancient ruins of Awantipura, dating back to the 9th century.
• Mattan Temple: Visit the historical Mattan Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, and admire its spiritual significance.

Shikara Ride on Dal Lake: Upon arrival in Srinagar, head straight to Dal Lake for a traditional Shikara ride. The Dal Lake is not only famous for its mesmerizing beauty but also for its unique lifestyle. The houseboat and Shikara communities have lived here for centuries, with everything they need—doctors, tailors, and bakers—operating within the lake’s boundaries.
